What RyukGram actually is
RyukGram is not a clone or a fake client — it is the real Instagram app with a tweak layer injected into it. It sits at the end of a well-known lineage of Instagram tweaks: it started as BHInstagram, was rebuilt and extended into SCInsta, and RyukGram is the actively maintained fork that pushes that work furthest, tracking current Instagram builds so it keeps working after updates. Downloads go up to full 1080p with a quality picker, run through a proper download manager with parallel processing and auto-retry, and land in an on-device gallery that organizes everything by source and uploader. There is no watermark and no external site in the loop.
Ghost mode and privacy controls
RyukGram lets you browse invisibly. View stories and live videos anonymously, stop “seen” receipts from firing in DMs, and keep messages other people unsend — RyukGram logs them so a deleted message still shows for you. On top of that it adds passcode and biometric locks for your DMs, gallery and settings, per-account data isolation, and device-ID spoofing, so what you see and save stays on your side of the app.
OLED theme and deep customization
Force a Light, Dark or true-black OLED appearance — the OLED chat theme uses pure-black bubbles that save battery and look right on modern iPhones. You can reorder the tab bar and swap its icons, set per-chat backgrounds, hide suggested content with a focus mode, and even set a fake location that overrides Instagram app-wide with saved map presets.
